Where to Begin

You’ve been dealing with this for a long time. You feel alone, stuck, and overwhelmed. I’m so glad you’re reaching out because you don’t need to go at this alone!

You feel pressure everywhere. Pressure to be everything to everyone. There’s not enough time, not enough energy, and not enough space to possibly carry it all. This pressure leads to self-criticism, shame, thoughts of failure and rejection, and a fear of being judged. You worry about disappointing others. At the end of the day, you wonder if others will disappoint you. And then, there are those days when you feel disappointed in yourself. By approaching therapy, you’ve already started the process of relieving pressure, letting go of expectations, cultivating loving-kindness, and leaning into vulnerability.

Vulnerability is often something you work hard to avoid. You feel shame, guilt, and worry most days— in your relationships, friendships, and even parenting. Your mind is busy going between worry and self-criticism almost all of the time. You’re exhausted!

I often find that teen girls and women struggle with identifying as worthy, and as a result feel stuck in a cycle of self-blame and shame.

You don’t have to be stuck in self-blame! It’s exhausting constantly doubting if you are enough. You are worthy of self-acceptance, and with an open heart and mind you can cultivate compassion for yourself.  You want to feel empowered and confident, but the demands and self-expectations you hold are overwhelming and at times parazlying. It’s time to recognize and honor what your body and mind are trying to tell you… with patience and trust we can cultivate kindness from within and encourage movement to happen.

Support is here

As part of my work with you, I provide the space for really listening to who you are in this very moment-- here-and-now. Together, I will help you to learn how to pay attention to and honor your body and mind, listen with non-judgment to the thoughts that come and go (and the thoughts that seem to stay), and sit safely and compassionately with your breath. If this feels like the type of journey that you are curious about, interested in, or ready to embark on, then please reach out-- after all, you deserve it.
